![]() I have tried a few of the YouTube lessons that Justin Guitar has out and they seem to be structured in the way I like to learn, (although I feel like I'll need to skip ahead since I don't need a whole lesson on the A chord). That leaves me frustrated and I put down the guitar. I took piano lessons as a kid so I can read music (although I'm a bit rusty), but I do feel like I stall a bit on memory recall on coordinating sight-reading with playing the right notes. ![]() I'd like to get back into it and while I had purchased the Hal Leonard complete edition, I feel like I'm retreading what I already know. I never learned songs that were outside of guitar books, never made it past the first three frets, never learned strumming patterns and never learned how to pick out a tune. I know a few chords (C,D,A,G,Em,Am) and have learned the notes on the first three frets. I'm a beginner who took lessons about 12 years ago, but still retained quite a bit of knowledge.
